In the 16th episode of “Naturally” we talk to the activist, nutritionist and writer Carlota Bruna, who at 26 years old has become one of the great references in the creation of content linked to sustainability. Born in Barcelona in July 1997, she studied Human Nutrition and Dietetics to try to investigate how through food or slow fashion she could teach how to combat climate change, the extinction of animals or ocean pollution. A great advocate of positive communication and combating the greenwashing that, even today, many companies practice, she is convinced that we all have a lot to say and do to achieve a more sustainable planet.

In the 15th episode of “Naturally” we talk to Juan Martín Bermúdez, environmentalist, birder and, for years, ally of chef Ángel León and his entire team in the search for new sources of marine food from sustainability and respect for nature to bring healthy and nutritious food to the table. In episode 12 of “Naturally” we talk to Garazi Sánchez, professional surfer, champion of Spain at just 14 years old and runner-up in Europe at 25. Born in Getxo, in 2018 a serious accident surfing on a beach in France almost left her paraplegic. During this conversation she tells us about those 10 months she spent away from the board, which bore fruit in a process of physical recovery and the search for something beyond surfing that would give meaning to her life. This is where his environmental awareness and commitment to conservation were born, reflected in his documentary Vergüenza and in his series of interviews with experts Quitando la vergüenza.

In this episode we talk to Ana María Hernández Salgar, who has been at the helm of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) in recent years. She was the first woman in history to hold this position. Colombian by birth and Canadian by adoption, she is based in Montreal, she is an expert in biodiversity, with special attention to environmental law, international negotiations and the science-policy interface. In her more than 20 years of experience, she has worked at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute, the Colombian Ministry of the Environment, the NaturaCert Foundation and has been a professor at the Universidad del Rosario and the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. He has participated extensively in the work of the Convention on Biological Diversity, has been a member of the Bureaux of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and Drought (UNCCD), the Protocol on Specially Protected Areas and Wild Flora and Fauna of the Cartagena Convention and IPBES.

In the tenth installment of “Naturally” we chat with Pepa Muñoz, chef who runs “El Qüenco de Pepa”. The success of his cuisine, recognized with a Michelin star, lies in the good treatment of the raw material, respect for the seasons, creativity and improvisation to invent dishes depending on the ingredients he collects daily from his garden. The recognition for this graduate in English Philology and a diploma in Foreign Language Teaching, has helped him to share his way of teaching and learning from childhood with teachers from all over the world. He is the author of titles such as The New Education, The Schools That Change the World, The Emotion of Learning, Humanizing Education and Sustainable Education, a reference today for thousands of teachers and which he comes to present to us in this podcast.

Episode 8 of “Naturally” is about cinema, cinema with capital letters. We are visited by José María Morales, a film producer who founded the production company Wanda in 1992, and from which more than 85 nationally and internationally recognized films have come out. Her list of winners includes three Oscar nominations, 3 Golden Osellas at Venice, 3 Goya awards, the Golden Spike at the Valladolid Festival, the Golden Shell at the San Sebastian Festival and the Golden Bear at the Berlin Festival.

His love for nature led him to create Wanda Natura, the brand with which he produces and distributes films, documentaries and series in which biodiversity is the protagonist, with titles such as Nomads of the Wind, Entrelobos, Guadalquivir, Cantabrico, Dehesa, El Faro de las Orcas, Panteras and currently, in the post-production phase, two more works: The last shepherds and “Doñana, Wild Reserve of Europe”. Anna Casals is an art historian and has dedicated her professional life to bringing art and books closer to children. For more than 15 years she has been an editor of children’s and young people’s literature at Grupo Planeta. Paolo Ferri is an environmental engineer and founder of the start-up Up Wecity, an application that certifies the CO2 generated by our daily commutes and classifies them as sustainable or not. In this interview we talk about their passion for books and stories, something that has brought them together to create stories such as Cuentos para salvar el planeta, Yo cuido el planeta or La Isla. In this talk we talk about the importance of also having accessible and quality content for children on the major environmental problems we are currently facing.

Ferrán Campillo i López is a paediatrician. He studied Medicine at the Rovira i Virgili University in Barcelona, specialized in Pediatrics at the La Paz University Hospital and in environmental pediatrics at the Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia.

Currently, she consults in Primary Care and also works in the Environmental Paediatrics Unit of the Hospital d’Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa Foundation.

She participates in initiatives such as #RevoltaEscolar to free school environments from cars and thus improve the air quality of these spaces and leads the Forests for Health initiative, whose objective is to plant a tree for each baby born in the Hospital de Olot, so that they grow up together.

Anna Cabré is a climate physicist and oceanographer. Although his first steps in the world of science led him to deepen his knowledge of the universe, he decided to look closer and made the sea his object of study. It uses computer models to analyze the role of the ocean in the Earth’s climate and how they help us in the fight against climate change. Committed to the role of women in decision-making in sectors related to environmental conservation, in 2019 she was part of an expedition to Antarctica, along with 6 other Spanish women, in what was the largest female expedition in history to the Antarctic Peninsula, within the Homeward Bound project.

José Moisés Martín Carretero is an economist, university professor and CEO of Red2Red, among others. María Lafuente is a fashion designer committed to sustainability. Granddaughter of a tailor, whom she did not meet, but who has marked her career and her way of sewing. uan Luis Cano was born in 1960 in a well-known neighborhood of Madrid, Carabanchel. He studied journalism and triumphed as co-presenter, along with Guillermo Fesser, of the radio program Gomaespuma, a humor program that was broadcast on different radio stations between 1980 and 2007. Jacob Petrus, geographer and director of TVE’s Aquí la Tierra programme, is the first guest on the podcast Naturally. Born in Manresa in 1976, he was always interested in everything related to nature and, although he wanted to study journalism, he found in Geography a career that covered a large part of his concerns. This is how he discovered meteorology and the possibility of working in a media outlet as “the weatherman”.
